I would never forget the time when the bride contacted me … ‘I just want a simple 3-tier cake’, she said. Straight away I thought, that’s too easy, ‘There’s no need for us to meet, you just need to tell me the the size and the colour’, I said to the bride. The bride’s definition of ‘simple’ was obviously very different from my definition…

After meeting with this lovely couple, I learnt that the bride wanted a large cake to fit within the size of their reception venue… ‘The higher the better’, she said.

I suggested French Lace Embroidery piping on their cake,  along with oversized roses to add more ‘Romance’ … The colour was ‘Dusty Pink’ …
